Develop grace and poise.....
We run traditional, free (non-syllabus) ballet classes, although some exercises and port de bras are influenced by the Cecchetti method.
There are 2 levels of classes:
Beginners / Improvers ; This class is open to beginners and those who wish to concentrate on perfecting their basic technique. It is possible to work at your own pace in this class and if you are an absolute beginner it is important to remember that the exercises are the same throughout the course, so give your self time to pick up the steps. This class will include higher level strengthening exercises - adage, and the introduction to pirouettes (turns) when individuals are ready.
Intermediate; this class runs for an hour and a half and is for students who have studied over many years and enjoy more complicated choreography and high level strengthening exercises. Students in this class should already have a good understanding of basic technique, and be prepared to work hard!
Fitted clothing / fitness wear is fine although ballet shoes are preferable - split sole canvas flatties are best. Jazz shoes could be worn as an alternative to begin with. Shoes can be purchased for you if required.
